I think this may be one of my favorite books so far. It’s made me laugh so many times. At other times, I’ve felt afraid for Daniel and Ella, then melancholy. Set in 1953 Texas, as seen through the eyes of Daniel. An unexpected novel written over three months, or maybe less. I really enjoyed writing it.
Importantly, it leaves you with much to think about. Our lives, the universe, and our place in it, all while laughing, feeling sad at times, and occasionally sickened by man’s inhumanity to man.
